By Ian Toll

The St George Rowing Club will be well represented in November this year in Melbourne when two Masters crews will contest the Head of the Yarra 9kms Time Trial.

The Club Super Masters crew will be joined by a “Glamour Crew” of Masters Women led by effervescent Sue Robinson who are in strict training under the watchful of British coach Jonathon McCree-Grey.

Supermasters Harry, Chris, Peter, Graeme, John, Graham, John, Denis, Ian will be back in 2015 to contest the Head of the Yarra.

The Men’s crew will be coached as always by Jacky Peile who does a great job moulding the ‘old & bold’ into a fast unit for the gruelling Time Trial.

Both crews will contest various Time Trials throughout the State prior to the Melbourne trip including, Nepean, Shoalhaven, Iron Cove, and Parramatta River.

The first & most important hit out for the 2 crews will be the Club’s own – “Brownie’s River Run” to be held by the Club in August.

Both crews are keen to impress and the Club wishes them well as they carry ‘the red & white’ colours into battle.
